DCHI is very excited to announce that we will be hosting regular Focal Point Café meetings in 2020. Here we will highlight humanitarian innovation cases and relevant themes, as well as exploring best practices and lessons learnt from various organisations. This will be done in a casual ‘café-like’ setting to encourage our coalition to network and collaborate.
The Focal-Point Café will be the ideal opportunity for you and your colleagues to hear some of the latest innovation stories within the sector, in a casual and interactive setting. Each meeting will end with networking drinks, giving you plenty of time to get to know the other attendees from a wide range of sectors. Each meeting will be lead by one of our focal points, from our 6 board member organisations: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defence, The Netherlands Red Cross, CARE Netherlands, UNICEF and The City of The Hague. The events will be happening roughly every 6 weeks, and are free to attend and open to the public.
Powered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and DCHI recently hosted a special session on Humanitarian Energy. In honour launching of our accelerator programme, the session highlighted the crucial role of Modern Energy in tackling the changing landscape of humanitarian crises. Thanks to our co-hosts and inspirational speakers, including the honour of welcoming H.R.H. Prince Jaime de Bourbon de Parme, Senior Advisor for Private Sector Partnerships at the UNHCR, we believe that we created real momentum for the humanitarian energy transition. View
