Introducing The DCHI Annual Event 2019: 5th November

DCHI Annual Event – October 8th, 2019

In true DCHI style we will host an interactive event on November 5th during ImpactFest, fully focused on collaboration. Bringing together experts, practitioners and professionals around the theme:

The Future is Now!

Using digitalisation to create a positive impact in the humanitarian context

Last year DCHI’s Annual Event saw more than 150 people from all sectors “Opening Up” to create a community around innovation in the humanitarian context.

This year we want to pick up where we left off!

At the DCHI Annual Event you are an active participant in the creation of different methods to realise innovation and collaboration in the humanitarian context. Join us and let the coalition grow!

DCHI was established at the height of the humanitarian crisis in 2015, aimed at realising more impact with less costs by working together more efficiently and effectively. We believe that by attracting knowledge and skills from outside the sector, we can inspire each other and realise more impact.

What will happen

Our aim is to inspire the coalition with existing and future technical solutions and the potential that these offer. Digitalisation is the theme in which we will work on together to show the possibilities of innovation within the sector. We’re looking forward to an inspiring keynote by Yuri van Geest, a specialist in the field of Singularity.

What are we going to do

During a co-creation workshop we will explore the different technological innovations and how they can be put to use in the humanitarian context. Different expertises working together will enable us to gain an insight in the potential we have to offer each other.

What happens after?

This year the DCHI Annual Event is the starting point of the approach that we are developing as a coalition. What we learn today will be processed into the approach, that we will continue to refine as we provide more opportunities to meet each other. This way we ensure that as a coalition we realise more impact through innovation and collaboration in the humanitarian context.
