Humanitarian Innovation Exchange : Key Learnings

Humanitarian Innovators Network – August 27th, 2019

On 26 June 2019, DCHI in cooperation with Elrha and the Centre for Innovation, organized the Humanitarian Innovation Exchange in The Hague. Since then we’ve been writing up learning and reflecting on the day’s discussions, and we’re pleased to share a number of outputs and further reading with you.

A blog series published by Elrha captures the keynote speech by Karen Peachey from the Cash Learning Partnership as well as reflections from facilitators and contributors to the sessions on Ethics, Evidence and Replication.

DCHI has published two further blogs focussing on our break-out sessions:

If you’re interested to learn more about what was covered in the “Pathways to Scale” session, please read the recent GAHI paper:

The “Local Innovation” session drew from a number of recent publications from the Start Network’s DEPP Labs project:

Finally, we encourage you to look out for forthcoming publications from MIT D-Lab on the Participation Index explored during their session, and from ALNAP and Elrha reflecting on the theme of Adaptiveness. Blog posts will be forthcoming in Elrha’s HIX collection.

If you would like to look back at the day’s programme, please feel free to revisit the event webpage for the Humanitarian Innovation Exchange.
